Continuous Enrollment

October, 2007

We offer continuous enrollment through out the school year.  Please call the school and schedule an appointment for graqde K-8. Families can pick up their Mission Valley School Application at the school located at 606 E. Central Avenue.  As you enter the district grounds, Mission Valley Office and Parent Meeting Center is the first building on the right. The Mission Valley Classrooms are the second building on the left. Both buildings are identified with signs.

Independent Study for grades 9-12 students should talk with counselors at Lompoc High School, Cabrillo High School or Maple School about the Independent Study Program.  The counselor will make the referral.  When the student is accepted into the program a teacher will be assigned to conduct the orientation and start the Independent Study Sessions..

Enroll Today
August, 2007
  • For students currently enrolled in Lompoc Schools, the parents can request an easy to use Independent Study Application for Grades K-9 from Mission Valley School at 742-3252.  When it is completed, return it to the MVS Office.  Let the student continue in the regular class until everyone gets  together to create the Independent Study Master Agreement.
  • For students not enrolled in Lompoc Schools, the family can request an Independent Study Application for Grades K-9 from Mission Valley School.  Upon returning the completed application, the parent will be contacted by the MVS principal.  The student should continue present schooling until everyone gets together to create the Independent Study Master Agreement.
  • For students living outside the Lompoc boundaries, the parent should contact the student's home district and request an interdistrict transfer.  When the home district grants approval of the transfer, parents should fill out a Lompoc Unified School District enrollment form.  Now the family follows the procedure in "students currently enrolled" above.
  • In each situation indicated above the principal will meet with the family to fully explain the program and complete any paperwork.
  • Students in grades 10-12 should talk with their high school counselor about independent study.
